Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from brand owners and buyers before starting an OEM project.

How is the MOQ confirmed for an OEM order?
MOQ depends on the product type, formula complexity, packaging components, and the number of SKUs in your order. There is no single fixed MOQ -- our sales engineers will evaluate your specification and provide a recommended order quantity during the initial review. We work with emerging brands and understand the need for accessible starting quantities.
How is the sampling timeline determined?
Sampling timelines vary based on the complexity of your specification, the number of revision rounds required, and current lab capacity. After reviewing your brief, our team will provide an estimated sampling schedule. We do not quote fixed lead times upfront -- the timeline is confirmed once the specification has been assessed and a sample plan is agreed upon.
Can CHOICEODM coordinate packaging for my order?
Yes. We can coordinate primary packaging (tubes, compacts, bottles, pots) and secondary packaging (boxes, inserts, labels) sourcing and decoration. If you have an existing packaging supplier or supply your own components, we can work within that arrangement as well. Packaging options and compatibility are discussed during the specification review stage.
What quality documents are provided with each order?
Standard documentation includes a Certificate of Analysis (CoA), batch production records, MSDS, and a traceability report linking finished goods to raw material sources. For export orders, we can provide compliance documentation aligned with your target market requirements (EU, USA, Middle East, Southeast Asia). Specific documentation requirements can be discussed and confirmed before production commences.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM at CHOICEODM?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) means you provide the formula or specification, and we manufacture to your requirements. ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) means we develop the formula and product concept on your behalf from scratch. This page covers our OEM service. If you need formula development support, our ODM service may be a better fit.
